However, when his older brother’s life is claimed by an unknown illness, Enzo finds himself as the sole heir to the throne of Kings. With minimal knowledge of the country he is set to rule, he embarks on a turbulent quest that leads to more questions than answers when his polished life intertwines with the dystopian reality that Lex calls home.
Court of kings
No, my origin story has only just begun.
Zara is the greatest swordswoman in all of Kings, but even a great warrior has a kryptonite: her father. Hellbent on marrying her off to save his troubled affairs, Zara’s father promises her to the most wretched man in all of Kings. In the midst of her father’s abuse, she finds herself engulfed in a forbidden romance with a servant, forcing them to love in secret and away from the palace’s scrutiny. But when her training partner, the prince, hears what her father has done, he steps in, vowing to protect her without her permission.
Although marrying the prince could save her from a terrible fate and earn protection from her father, it would mean her future was stolen—and she can never be with the man she truly loves.
About the Author
Hunter Roxie is the author of The Kings Series. Her debut novel, Deception Of Kings, is a dystopian novel following the dual point of view of main characters, Lex and Enzo. Deception of Kings started as an idea in Hunter’s ninth grade English class, and although it took some time for her to pick the pen back up, Hunter’s mind never fully left the intriguing world she had created. Court Of Kings is the next story in the Kings Series where we learn more about a character we meet in DoK, Zara. On the surface, Zara is tough, striking, and a bit unlikeable, Court Of Kings reveals there is much more than meets the eye when it comes to the greatest swordswoman in all of Kings.
